DESCRIPTION

These projects are located in the Broad River Road Corridor Neighborhood and surrounding roadways. The neighborhood improvements are generally defined by the Broad River to the North and East, the Saluda River to the Southeast, I-26/I-126/I-20 to the Southwest and Piney Grove Road/Harbison State Forest to the Northwest. The boundaries of the Broad River Corridor are located within the area referred as the Saint Andrews Designated Census Area. The projects within the focus of the scope involve intersection and streetscape improvements. The potential improvements are as follows:

  • Intersection Improvements at Greystone Blvd./Broad River Rd., Bush River Rd./Broad River Rd., and St. Andrews Rd./Broad River Rd.

  • Various landscaped median locations from Broad River Bridge to St. Andrews Rd.

  • Underground utilities from the Broad River Bridge to St. Andrews Rd.

  • Streetscape and Pedestrian Accommodations Improvements at Greystone Blvd./Broad River Rd., Bush River Rd./Broad River Rd., and St. Andrews Rd./Broad River Rd.

  • Lighting from the Broad River Bridge to St. Andrews Rd.

  • Recommendations from the US 176 Road Safety Audit Final Report prepared for SCDOT and submitted by Civil Engineering Consulting Services, Inc. dated October 2017.
